May 19, 2019 by Teodora Petkova

These are my slides from the International Forum of the Faculty of Slavic Studies at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” 2019 where I talked about how I saw digital text. What makes digital text different? I. Semantic Web, Relationships and a Piece of Conceptual art

In our hypermodern times it looks like that the answer to what something is lies a click or a thought away, somewhere between “Ask Google” and “I don’t need Google, my wife knows everything.” But, really, what defines a thing, a person or a place? Is it its definition alone, or is it the words used toContinue Weaving

A dialogue with David Amerland

November 15, 2014 by Teodora Petkova

Fascinated by the concept of Liberature,  I wanted to invite the even more fascinating writer, speaker and analyst David Amerland to a conversational search for meaning beyond the traditional form of the interview. However my understanding of what the author of the best-selling book Semantic Search does, as disruptive and non-traditional it is, stopped me, remindingContinue Weaving

Welcome, fellow web explorer!

My Brave New Text

Being Dialogic (2022)

In Being Dialogic I explain why the key to successful content on the Web is being dialogic, sharing my PhD research and professional practice related to marketing communication on the Web and its dialogic orientation. The book aim is to allow for broader perspectives on the processes of creating web content which take into account the idea of marketing as managing knowledge and of content writing as creating digital object, enriched with metadata.

The Brave New Text (2017)

The Brave New Text  is a book about web writing and how it transforms the way we communicate, exchange, experience and explore thoughts, ideas, goods. It is a kaleidoscope of perspectives through which you will see texts on the web, as new forms of textuality, as webs themselves, as processes that change us, word by word, link by link.

The Brave New Text consists of essays on writing for the Semantic Web as well as practical tips for creating connected and connecting texts.

The book’s website is The Brave New Text  and it features excerpts from the book together with thoughts and advice on web writing to help you weave your own web of words on the Web of People. Use it for inspiration, guidance and practical advice.

My Tiny Companion to Weaving Texts on the Web
